Dear everybody,
I have a damn good idea: Make your wildest dream come truth!
Become the headcoach of your National Team!!!!
Lets put it this way:
Ad a possibility to play as the headcoach of your national team. The headcoach will be voted by the fellow citizen of your country. You can apply for the job at any level. But in the end maybe only the best players/coaches have a chance. This could be a wonderfull assit to those level 8/9 players who are complaining about the lack of possibilities in this game.
As a headcoach you will be forced to choose the best players from your country to play in qualificationgames for the BIG Tournaments like European Championchips, Copa Libertadores, the Asiencup, the Africacup and of course the WORLDCUP!!! Offcourse you can allso stay coach of your own team.
The players you choose to play in the National team are out of play for the teams where they are choosen from, for the time of a tournament, and frienly games. It is offcourse possible that your player comes back with an injury or with low stamina. But in the and its a TOP player so maybe he will be worth more if he won a cup or a game.
So please give this thought a chance!!!!!
With pleasure,
Fabieto

Good idea!
How will players give you their best players? Will you pay for rent? Why would somebody gives you their best players? Some people only have one player per position. What would they play?
Many details need to be worked out.
I believe that is what world cup (implemented on 11x11.ru) is like anyway.
Lets hope we get it here soon.

This guide is based on how the WC was played in other servers.
Everything is subject to change... if you know what I mean
The Duration of the WC is about 1 month and apparently (not 100% sure about it) it is played every 5 seasons at the end of every 5th season.
There should be a separate 11x11 page solely dedicated to WC with all the tables and data.
I. ELIGIBILITY, CREATING YOUR DREAM TEAM
The WC starts with the qualifying phase where 'N' amount of players (be it 1000, 1500, 2000 ect.) are selected according to the highest points in the ratings table. 'X' amount (10, 45 etc) of best players from the same table are made the "National Team Managers" and are guaranteed the participation in the WC.
The next step of the WC is for the National Team Manager to create a team of 10 players (in other words to find 10 users to
play for his/her team in WC=World Cup). These 10 players are called the "Participants of the National Team". These participants send application to the manager of the National Team who then accepts the "right" canditates from the list of all the users applied to play for his National Team.
Note: that National Team Managers have a deadline that they have to meet when forming their teams. On other servers the
managers were limited to 20 days to build their squad.
If the deadline has passed and the teams were short of participants, then these teams will automatically receive any random player/players who qualified for the participation in the WC but were not selected in any National Team.
II. THE STRUCTURE OF THE WC
The WC is one big group consisting of all the participants of the championship. If you imagine, for example Barclays Premier League where there are 19 teams and 36 tours you will have a close idea of the main structure of the WC.
But if in Barclays league 1 team plays with another team 2 games, both home and away, then in WC in 11x11 the opponents are selected by whoever's position in the table is closest to yours, for example 16th place will play against either 15th or 17th place or 4th place will play against either 3rd or 5th place. And so on.
Each tour is played every day. Every participant of team A and every participant of team B (when both teams are selected to play against each other) play in ordinary tournaments and gain points. Whichever team's participants gain most points in tournaments are the winners of the tour. The winning team gains 1 tour point. In case of a draw both teams gain 0.5 tour points. This rule applies for all 36 tours.
III. POINTS CALCULATION AND RULES
In the end of the day at 12am midnight (which is also the end of the tour), points among all the WC Squads are calculated and their positions in the WC tables change according to their performance. The goal of the WC is to gain the most point and to finish the WC table in the 1st position.
WC rule:
Within your National Team you can transfer boosters to another member of the same National Team. These boosters can only be the ones you paid money for, not the referal ones. All participants of the same National Team can do this.
Now I will explain how each member of the National Team contributes his/her tournament points to this Nat.Team. Note that each such contribution is limited. He/she cannot contribute more than double of the average amount of points gained among all 11 team members.
Example:
Lets suppose its the end of the tour X and its time to calculate the points
1.We have 11 players of the same National Team.
Player A has 1000 points that he gained playing in various tourneys
Other 10 players each have 10 points that they gained playing various tourneys
How do we know how much points player A can contribute to his National Team's piggybank?
Here is how we calculate this using the data above:
2.The average amount of points among all 11 members of the same Nat.Team = 100. (1000+10*10)/11 = 100.
3.The rule (above the Example) states that one participant cannot contribute more than double of the average amount of points gained among all 11 members of the same team, i.e. no more than 200. 100*2 = 200.
4.Therefore player A can only contribute 200 points, although he gained 1000. The rest 800 will not count as the team points only in his personal record.
5.The final formula will look like this: (200+10*10)=300. This is the number or tournament points this Nat.Team will get in the end of the tour. If this score is higher than the rivalling team then our team will get
1 point in WC table for the victory
~Score is the same as rivalling team
0.5 for the draw
~Score is less than the opposing team
0 for the defeat
By now you should have an idea of how WC is played.
The only thing I can not mention in this guide is prizes because they depend on real sponsorship and might depend on other things. Also the rules in 1st WC were different from 2nd WC in other servers. Also prizes might be given to the best National Team manager, best squad member, top 5 managers and so on.
good luck!

It already exist in 11x11.ru - Developers know how to create it
http://11x11.ru/xml/wc/index.phpIts just a matter of implementing it here. (does take four years to run one, though)

I felt like writing this guide beforehand to get other people to know what the world cup is like. I hope it will make your and other admins' job easier because you wont have to answer 10 similar threads 10 different times when it comes to the actual WC.

Good job.
I was referring to multiple postings that float on this forum all asking when and how it should be. Lets all write our thoughts here in one thread.
