300% XP VIP cups are one of the main reasons for one becoming a VIP player, but I don't seem to be getting the most of this benefit, since the VIP tournaments are, in my opinion, poorly structured. For instance, in my language area (portuguese) there were the following cups, between 0h and 8h GMT:

* Troféu Imprensa (a local 8 player tournament, for levels 2-7): there were 15 editions of this cup, none actually played;
* VIP International Dice Cup (interzone cup for 8 players, levels 6-8): 15 editions, with 7 completed;
* International VIP Trophy (interzone cup for 16 players, levels 3-8): 7 editions, none completed;
* VIP International Pilot's Trophy (interzone cup for 8 players, levels 2-8): 16 editions, 15 completed;
* VIP International Gold Trophy (interzone cup for 32 players, levels 2-8): 7 editions, none completed;
* International VIP Starters Medal (interzone cup for 8 players, levels 1-4): 8 editions, none completed;

I know this is only an 8 hour sample, but I believe we can take a few conclusions from this:

1) The only cups actually played were the International Pilot's Trophy (levels 2-8) and the International Dice Cup (levels 6-8);
2) There were a total of 68 tournament editions, but only 22 of them were played;
3) a large majority of the entries in the previous 2 tournaments were from levels 6-8.

Which means that most levels <=6 weren't able, or willing, to play VIP cups. And why is that happening? First, because the only tournaments being played include upper levels, who take the few spots in those cups; and secondly, most lower-level players aren't willing to take part in VIP tournaments (for which they pay an entering fee) in which they will have to play (and in most cases lose) to upper levels, thus gaining little experience for their players.

Why not restructure the whole VIP cup segment, and have it be a little more effective? For instance:

* create 4-player cups, for lower levels (let's say one cup for levels 1-3 and another for levels 3-5);
* except for a few 32 or 64-player cups, there shouldn't be cups for levels 2-8; instead, have a lot more 8 player cups for levels 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 6-7, 7-8;
* levels 6 and above could also have one 16 player cup;
* finally, there should be two or 3 broader cups: one 64 player cup for levels 1-8, one 32 player cup for levels 1-5 and one 32 player cup for levels 4-8.

I believe that, if this was the case, there would be a lot more participants in VIP cups, and they would be getting a lot more advantages from their VIP status...

First of all: We wont create new 4-players cup in mixed or VIP, as these cups should be exclusive for league cups.
The last one, the university cup, will be changed soon.

But we know about this situation and we are planning some changes in the whole mixed and vip cups.

I just suggested 4-player cups for lower levels because it's harder to complete 8-player cups at that stage. But the main concern should be to have different cups for different levels.
